gaming place over by Benton? (not sure this is the right board)

Not sure this is the right spot for this but Town Talk seemed closest. My grandson is 14 and staying with us through Thanksgiving, and all he talks about is gaming. The card game and board game kind, not just the video games on the TV. He brought a whole bag of cards with him.

Is there anywhere out toward Benton, off I-30 or close to it, where kids can go sit down and play? I don't mean a casino or anything like that, haha. I mean a store or a hobby shop with tables, or a church or library group that does a game night. I remember when you'd see a few of those places around but I honestly haven't kept up.

I took him to the football game Friday night and by halftime he was bored stiff, so I'm trying to find something he'd actually like before it gets too cold to want to leave the house. We're supposed to get a cold snap next week.

Any leads appreciated, even if it's just a name and I have to look up the rest myself.

Try the Benton library. They sometimes run teen game nights. Worth a call first.

Thank you Kevin, I hadn't thought of the library, i'll call Monday and ask about the teen nights. He'd probably sit through it if they let him bring his cards. Anybody know if Benton's does it every week or just now and then?

Town Talk is fine. Ask the library. God bless.

Thanks Alyssa, Town Talk it is then. Still going to call the library Monday, if anyone knows a card shop near Benton, I'd take that name too

Ha, I'm guessing that was the casino line. The library's a good first call. I'd also ask whoever answers if they know of a hobby shop running card nights, because those staff always know where the kids go. A shop in Little Rock is a quick drive down I-30 too, and a warm table beats bleachers in a cold snap. A bored 14 year old at halftime is relatable, I've been that kid.
